The accessory you didn’t know you needed until now

Before you could personalise pens, off the runway handbags and mobile phone cases, there were licence plates. You may not realise it, but every number plate is a unique identifier linking you to your vehicle. These days they're a little more colourful, have a lot more character and personality and a splash of fun. As the name ‘Custom Plates’ suggests, we don’t just offer customers a licence plate, but a way to display their unique self and story.

According to the Cambridge dictionary, to customise is to ‘make or change something according to the buyer’s or user’s needs’. In our CP urban dictionary, ‘it’s the act of zhuzhing up your car or motorbike’.

How so you ask? Well, there are three components to a custom plate that differentiate it from a standard number plate.

1. You choose the combination that appears on your plate

What’s a combination? It’s the sequence of number and letters on your number plate. The standard general issue plates you see on the road have pre-determined combinations. With a custom plate, you’re not leaving it to chance to get the combination you want – you actually get to choose it. Be creative and buy the combination you’ve been envisioning for your car or motorbike. With the use of letters and numbers or a mix of the two (Custom Mix), we’ve seen some very personal, witty and comical combos.

2. You choose the colour, design and size of your plate

This is the fun part!  You may already have an idea of what you want until you browse our website and realise we have such a wide range of plate styles that differ not only in size, but in designs, colours, licenced logos, themes and special interests.
