Due to an incredible surge of orders, we’ve had to pause the sale of our six-digit Heritage plates. Your overwhelming love and support for these iconic plates has truly blown us away and we couldn’t be more grateful.

- Why has the sale of Heritage plates been paused?
The sale of Heritage plates has been paused due to the high volume of orders we’ve recently received. We are working with our production partners to fulfil these orders, ensuring that we maintain the exceptional quality of these plates.
- When will six-digit Heritage plates become available for sale again?
We’ll share an update once we know when and how six-digit Heritage plates are re-introduced for sale.
- I ordered a six-digit Heritage plate. When will my order arrive?
We understand you’re eager to receive your Heritage plate and appreciate your patience as we work fulfil your order.Delivery timeframes will start at 16 weeks, although due to the large quantity of orders, delivery times for many orders will extend beyond this. Australia Post will send a tracking number once your Heritage plate is on its way.
Our call centres and VicRoads Customer Service Centres are unable to assist with delivery queries or timeframes. - Can I track my Heritage plate order?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide order tracking at this time. We’re working through delivery timeframes with our production partners and will endeavour to provide updates when available.
- How can I be sure you’ve received my Heritage plate order?
Upon successful check-out, you should have received an order confirmation screen, as well as a confirmation email and receipt. Rest assured that we are already working to process and fulfil your order.
- I’ve ordered a Heritage plate and want to change my combination.
You may change or cancel your Heritage plate order free of charge if you call VicRoads or visit a VicRoads Customer Service Centre before 12pm on the business day after you place your order. If you request a change or cancellation after that time, VicRoads may charge you a fee to cover costs it incurs in processing your application.
- I tried to order a six-digit Heritage plate, but my card was declined. Has my order been processed?
If you encountered any issues during the payment process and your card was declined, we have not received your order. Unfortunately, when this happens, we are unable to access your information or proceed with processing an incomplete order. Our system requires a successful payment transaction to initiate the order fulfilment process.
- Where can I get regular updates about Heritage plates?
We will be in touch as soon as we have any updates regarding Heritage plates, which we’ll publish on the Custom Plates website.
