Custom Plates Marketing Subscriber Segmentation Survey Prize Draw
Promoter: CP Services Victoria Ltd ABN 16 657 005 439 as trustee for Victorian CP Services Trust ABN 72 128 511 730, trading as Custom Plates of Level 24, 180 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (Promoter).
1. Competition and Promoter
1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to the Custom Plates Marketing Subscriber Segmentation Survey Prize Draw (Promotion). By entering the Promotion, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.1.2 The Promotion is a trade promotion lottery conducted to encourage participation in a customer survey and to obtain customer feedback and preference information for customer segmentation, insights, customer experience and product development purposes.
1.3 The Promotion is conducted by the Promoter in association with Social Research Centre, which will administer the survey and assist with promotion administration.
2. Who may enter?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to invited recipients of the survey who:Are existing Custom Plates marketing subscribers;
are located in Victoria;
are aged 18 years or over at the time of entry;
receive the survey invitation;
and satisfy these Terms and Conditions.
2.2 The following persons are not eligible to enter:
employees of the Promoter or VicRoads, directors, officers, contractors, consultants, labour-hire workers, business partners and their immediate families; or
any person directly involved in the conduct of the Promotion.
2.3 The Promoter may verify an entrant’s eligibility, identity, age and entry details at any time. The Promoter may disqualify an entrant if the entrant does not satisfy these Terms and Conditions or provides false, misleading, incomplete or inaccurate information.
3. Promotion Period
3.1 The Promotion commences at 9am AEST on 24 August 2026 and closes at 9am AEST on 03 September 2026 (Promotion Period).3.2 Entries will only be accepted during the Promotion Period. Late, incomplete, duplicate, invalid, corrupted, misdirected or incorrectly submitted entries will not be accepted.
3.3 The Promoter may amend, suspend, cancel or extend the Promotion Period where required because of technical, legal, operational or other unforeseen circumstances, subject to any applicable law and internal approvals.
4. How to enter
4.1 To enter, an eligible entrant must complete and submit the online survey during the Promotion Period using the survey link provided in the survey invitation.4.2 Entry is automatic upon completion of the survey, unless the survey invitation or collection notice specifies an express opt-in mechanism for the prize draw.
4.3 Entrants must provide the information reasonably required to administer the Promotion, including their email address for prize notification and any information required to verify eligibility.
4.4 Only one entry is permitted per person. If more than one entry is received from the same person, only the first valid completed survey will be accepted.
4.5 Entry is free. Entrants are responsible for any ordinary internet access or other communication costs associated with entering the Promotion.
5. Disqualification of entries
5.2 The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who tampers with, interferes with or benefits from tampering with the entry process, the survey platform, the draw process or the conduct of the Promotion.5.3 The Promoter’s failure to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
6. Draw and selection of winners
6.1 Three winners will be selected by random electronic draw from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period.6.2 The draw will be conducted electronically by Social Research Centre on behalf of the Promoter at 11am AEST on 17 September 2026 at Level 5, Queen Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3000. Winners will be identified through a random computer generated draw.
6.3 Each valid entry will have an equal chance of being drawn. The draw method must allow each valid entry a random and equal chance of selection.
6.4 The first three valid entries randomly drawn will each win one Prize. The Promoter’s decision in relation to the conduct of the draw and eligibility of entries is final.
7. Winner notification and verification
7.1 Winners will be notified in writing by email within 5 business days after the draw using the email details provided or associated with the entrant’s survey response.7.2 The Promoter or Social Research Centre may make up to 3 notification attempts. Winners must respond to the winner notification and provide any information reasonably required to verify eligibility, identity and delivery details within 6 months after the notification date, unless a shorter period is specified in the notification.
7.3 A winner must provide identification and any proof of age, residence or eligibility reasonably requested by the Promoter before the Prize is awarded.
7.4 If a winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within the required period, refuses the Prize, is found to be ineligible or otherwise fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter may conduct a redraw in accordance with clause 8.
8. Unclaimed prizes and redraw
8.1 If a Prize is unclaimed or cannot be awarded, the Promoter may conduct a redraw from all remaining valid entries using the same random electronic draw method as the original draw.8.2 Any redraw will be conducted at 2pm AEST on 01 October 2026 or at another date and time determined by the Promoter, having regard to the requirement that reasonable efforts be made to identify and contact the original winner.
8.3 A replacement winner will be notified in writing by email. Clauses 7 and 8 apply to any replacement winner as if they were an original winner.
8.4 No compensation is payable to any entrant or winner where a Prize is forfeited, unclaimed or awarded to a replacement winner in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
9. The Prize
9.1 There are three Prizes. Each Prize is one AU$300 Custom Plates gift voucher. The total prize pool is AU$900.9.2 Each Prize is subject to the applicable Custom Plates gift voucher terms and conditions, including any expiry date, redemption conditions and restrictions notified to the winner.
9.3 No part of a Prize is transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. The Prize must be accepted as offered.
9.4 The face value of a Prize may be used to purchase a Custom Plate or towards the purchase of a Custom Plate that exceeds the face value of the Prize. Any costs beyond the voucher value, including taxes, fees, delivery costs, activation costs or incidental costs, are the responsibility of the winner.
9.5 If a Prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute the Prize with another prize of equal or greater value, subject to any applicable law.
10. Receiving the Prize
10.1 The Prize will be emailed or otherwise delivered to each winner using the winner’s verified contact details within 28 days after the draw or, if applicable, within 28 days after verification is completed.10.2 The Promoter takes no responsibility for a winner failing to receive a Prize because of the winner’s error, omission, failure to provide accurate contact details, technical issue outside the Promoter’s reasonable control, alteration, tampering, theft or destruction after the Prize has been delivered.
10.3 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for a Prize after it is provided to the winner, except to the extent required by law.
11. Publication of winners
11.1 Based on the current assumed Prize value of AU$300 per Prize, winner publication is not intended unless legally required.11.2 If any individual Prize is valued at more than AU$1,000, the Promoter will publish the winner’s name by one of the methods permitted for Victorian trade promotion lotteries, which may include publication on the internet for a minimum period of 28 days, in a newspaper circulating generally in Victoria, or in the publication in which the Promotion was solely advertised.
11.3 If winner publication is required, entrants consent to the Promoter publishing the winner’s name and any other required details for the minimum period required by law or regulatory guidance.
12. Collection and use of personal information
12.1 By entering the Promotion and submitting the survey, each entrant agrees that the Promoter and Social Research Centre may collect, use and disclose the entrant’s personal information for the purposes of administering the Promotion, conducting the draw, notifying and verifying winners, delivering Prizes, handling enquiries and complaints, complying with law, and using survey responses for customer insights, segmentation and research purposes described in the applicable collection notice.12.2 The personal information collected may include name, email address, survey responses and any optional demographic information provided by the entrant.
12.3 Social Research Centre will collect personal information on behalf of the Promoter and will store it in Social Research Centre systems and VicRoads-approved systems. Based on current business input, personal information will not be stored or accessed overseas.
12.4 Entrant information will not be added to a new marketing, customer insights, research or communications database as a result of entering the Promotion. Participants are already Custom Plates marketing subscribers. Existing marketing consent arrangements will continue and any new marketing consent will be obtained separately if required.
12.5 The Promoter’s privacy policy and collection notice, and Social Research Centre’s privacy policy, apply to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information. Privacy questions, access requests, correction requests and complaints may be directed to the VicRoads Privacy Team or the nominated privacy contact in the collection notice.

13. Third-party provider
13.1 Social Research Centre will administer the survey, collect entries, assist with promotion administration and conduct or facilitate the electronic random draw on behalf of the Promoter.13.2 Social Research Centre and the Promoter are responsible for maintaining promotion records relevant to their respective roles, including entry records, draw records and prize distribution records.
13.3 Social Research Centre is subject to applicable contractual obligations relating to privacy, confidentiality, information security, records and use of entrant information.
14. Technical issues and conduct of the Promotion
14.1 The Promoter is not responsible for any technical error, platform outage, communication failure, lost entry, delayed entry, corrupted data, unauthorised access or other issue outside its reasonable control that affects entry, the survey, the draw or Prize delivery.14.2 If the Promotion is interfered with or cannot be conducted as reasonably anticipated due to technical, legal, operational or other causes beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may, subject to any applicable law, amend, suspend, cancel or withdraw the Promotion, or take any other action that is fair and reasonable in the circumstances.
14.3 The Promotion must be conducted in a manner that is not offensive and is not contrary to the public interest.
15. Liability and consumer guarantees
15.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights, remedies, guarantees or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including under the Australian Consumer Law.15.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss, damage, cost, expense or injury arising out of or in connection with the Promotion or a Prize except to the extent caused by the Promoter’s negligence, breach of law or breach of these Terms and Conditions.
15.3 Entrants are responsible for ensuring that their participation in the Promotion does not breach any law, policy or obligation that applies to them.
16. Complaints and contact
16.1 Entrants may submit questions, disputes or complaints about the Promotion to VicRoads Customer Service or the nominated contact details in the promotion materials: [email protected]
16.2 The Promoter will handle complaints in accordance with the applicable VicRoads customer complaints process.
17. Governing law
17.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Entrants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
