Custom Plates 2022 Toyota AFL Grand Final Competition

 

Competition Entry Terms and Conditions

 

  1. Competition and Promoter
    • 1.1.By entering the ‘Custom Plates 2022 Toyota AFL Grand Final Competition’ (‘Competition’) and in consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Competition, you (‘Entrant’) warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements and agree to be bound by and observe these Competition entry terms & conditions (‘Conditions of Entry’). Information on how to enter and the prize details form part of these Conditions of Entry.
    • 1.2.The promoter of the Competition is CP Services Victoria (ABN 16 657 005 439) as trustee for the Victorian CP Services Trust (ABN 72 128 511 730) of Level 6, Rialto Building 525 Collins St Melbourne, Victoria 3000 on behalf of Custom Plates (‘Promoter’).
    • 1.3.The organiser of the 2022 Toyota AFL Grand Final (‘Event’) is Australian Football League (AFL) (ABN 97 489 912 318) of GPO Box 1449, Melbourne, Victoria 3001 (‘Organiser’).
    • 1.4.The Event is scheduled to be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday 24 September 2022.

     

  2. Who may enter?
    • 2.1.Subject to paragraph 2.2, entry into the Competition is open to all residents of Victoria aged 18 and over.
    • 2.2.Employees and immediate family members of employees of the Promoter or the Promoter’s related bodies corporate are not eligible to enter the Competition. For the purposes of these Conditions of Entry, immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
    • 2.3.The Promoter will not accept any joint entry.

     

  3. Competition Period
    • 3.1.The Competition commences at 9.00am on Tuesday 30 August 2022 Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and closes at 11:59pm on Monday 12 September 2022 AEST (‘Competition Period’).
    • 3.2.Entries not received during the Competition Period or not submitted in accordance with these Conditions of Entry will not be eligible to win. Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are received by the Promoter via the entry form in paragraph 4.1 and not at the time of submission by the Entrant. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise.
    • 3.3.The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel the Competition at any time before the Entrant deemed to have the winning entry (‘Prize Winner’) is notified.

     

  4. How to enter
    • 4.1.To enter this Competition will be accepted only through the Competition webpage, https://vplates.com.au/competitions/2022-afl-grand-final-competition
    • 4.2.To enter this Competition, you must complete all aspects of the Competition entry form located at webpage, https://vplates.com.au/competitions/2022-afl-grand-final-competition (‘Entry’): This includes providing the contact information, agreeing to these Competition Entry Terms and Conditions and answering the following question in 25 words or less: “What custom plate design and combination would you choose if you won the Custom Plates 2022 Toyota AFL Grand Final Competition?” (‘Competition question’).
    • 4.3.Each Entrant is limited to submitting one entry for the Competition only. Any subsequent entries submitted by an Entrant will be automatically disqualified from consideration.

     

  5. Promoter may reject an Entry
    • 5.1.Entries that, in the Promoter’s judgment, contain offensive, defamatory or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate material or that infringe any third party rights (including intellectual property rights) will be invalid. This includes, but is not limited to, any entry which the Promoter considers to be disparaging to its products and/or services or is otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of the Competition (in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion).

     

  6. Selection and Notification
    • 6.1.At the end of the Competition Period, all Entries will be judged by the Promoter and one Entry will be declared as the winner.
    • 6.2.Judging will be conducted by the Promoter on Tuesday 13 September 2022 at Level 6, Rialto Building 525 Collins St Melbourne, Victoria 3000. The winning Entry will be the Entry judged by the Promoter in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion to be the most creative answer to the Competition Question (‘Prize Winner’).
    • 6.3.The Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of the Competition including the decision as to the prize winner is final and binding.
    • 6.4.The Prize Winner will be notified by email or telephone call on Wednesday 14 September 2022 using the details in the Entry.
    • 6.5.All Entrants agree to provide the Promoter with identification and/or proof of age if selected as the Prize Winner. The form of identification and/or proof of age will be at the discretion of the Promoter. 
    • 6.6.If the Prize Winner: 
      a: fails to confirm their attendance at the Event or provide a valid mailing address in accordance with paragraph 8.1 by 3.00 pm Friday 16 September 2022 (AEST),the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Prize from the original Prize Winner and award the Prize to an alternative Prize Winner with the second most creative response to the Competition question.


  7. Prize
    • 7.1.The Prize Winner, in accordance with these Conditions of Entry, will win the following prize (‘the Prize’):

      (a) 2 x tickets to the Event (‘Event Tickets’); and

      (b) 1 x $695 Custom Plates voucher.

    • 7.2.The estimated value of the Prize is AU$1,295 (including GST).  No part of the Prize is transferable or exchangeable. The Prize is not redeemable for cash and must be taken as offered. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of any part of the Prize between now and the Prize redemption date.
    • 7.3.The Event Tickets will be supplied by the Organiser in partnership with the Promoter. In the event the Event Tickets are not available due to:

    (a) cancellation of the Event;

    (b) relocation of the Event to a venue not located in Victoria;

    (c) any government restriction on the audience capacity at the Event; or
    (d) any other reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter,
    the Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, not provide the Event Tickets to the Prize Winner, or substitute for the Event Tickets with an AFL Store gift card up to a value of $600.

     


  8. Collection
    • 8.1.The Prize Winner must confirm by email to [email protected] that they will attend the Event and provide a valid mailing address for the purpose of receiving the Prize by 3.00pm Friday 16 September 2022 (AEST). Failure by the Prize Winner to confirm attendance at the Event and provide a valid mailing address in accordance with this paragraph 8.1 will constitute forfeiture of the Prize by the Prize Winner.
    • 8.2.The Prize will be delivered to the Prize Winner by Tuesday 20 September 2022. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the Prize Winner’s failure to receive the Prize due to error or omission of the Prize Winner or any alteration, tampering, theft or destruction of the Prize once it has been sent by the Promoter to the Prize Winner’s nominated mailing address.
