Competition Entry Terms & Conditions
1. Competition and Promoter
1.1. By entering the ‘Custom Plates & Melbourne International Film Festival Competition’ and in consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by and observe these Conditions of Entry. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these Conditions of Entry.
1.2. The Promoter of the Competition is the Roads Corporation trading as VicRoads ABN 61 760 960 480 of 60 Denmark Street, Kew, Victoria, 3101 (Promoter).
1.3. The Organiser of the event is Melbourne International Film Festival, ABN 12 006 391 902. GPO Box 4982, Melbourne, 3001.
2. Who can enter?
2.1. Subject to paragraph 2.2, entry into the Competition is open to all residents of Victoria aged 18 and over.
2.2. Employees (and immediate family members of employees) of the Promoter and its associated agencies are not eligible to enter the Competition.
2.3. The Promoter will not accept any joint entry.
3. Competition Period
3.1. The Competition commences at 5:00pm on 3 August Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and closes at 12:00pm AEST on 6 August 2018 (Competition Period).
3.2. Entries not received during the Competition Period or not completed in accordance with these Conditions of Entry will not be eligible to win. Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are posted on VicRoads official Facebook page and not at the time of submission by the Entrant. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise.
4. How to enter
4.1. By entering the Competition entrants agree to the Competition Terms & Conditions. Entry into this Competition is only available by going to www.vplates.com.au, typing in a combination from their favourite movie and posting a photo of the combination to the VicRoads Facebook competition post.
5. Prize and notification
5.1. At the end of the Competition Period, all entries will be judged by the Promoter and three entries will be declared the winners.
5.2. Judging will be conducted by the Promoter on 6 August 2018 at 60 Denmark Street, Kew, Victoria, 3101. The winning entries will be judged by the Promoter as the most creative movie combination.
5.3. The winners, in accordance with these Conditions of Entry, will win 1x double pass to a movie of their choice at this years Melbourne International Film Festival.
5.4. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any and all aspects of the Promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.5. The prize winners will be notified by FB Messenger on 6 August 2018.
5.6. In the event that the winners do not respond to the winning notification by 8 August 2018, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to the next best judged entries submitted.
5.7. The prizes are supplied by the Melbourne International Film Festival.
5.9. The maximum total prize value is AU$40.00
5.10. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable. The prize is not redeemable for cash and must be taken as offered.
5.11. In the event that the prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Where the prize is substituted the Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to provide a substitute prize to the satisfaction of the winner.
6. Information for Prize Winner
6.1. All entrants agree to provide the Promoter with identification and/or proof of age if selected as a prize winner. The form of identification and/or proof of age are at the discretion of the Promoter.
6.2. The winners agree to comply with these Conditions of Entry, and any Attendance Conditions to the Event available at www.miff.com.au
6.3. Spending money, meals and all other ancillary costs incurred as a result of taking the prize (including, without limitation, transport to and from the Event, airline and/or airport taxes and transfers, where applicable) are not included and remain the responsibility of the winners. All elements of the prize must be taken to coincide with the Event and any element not taken at the time(s) stipulated will be taken to be forfeited.
